Police Arrest Knox County Contractor Accused of Theft

File

The suspect allegedly pocketed $19,000

A Knox County contractor is under arrest for allegedly scamming a Vincennes homeowner. WNIN’s Sarah Kuper has more:

According to an Indiana State Police report, forty-eight year old Jesse Pace signed an agreement to complete home improvement projects totaling $10,000. After the Vincennes homeowner paid the money, Pace showed up to work a few days but then never returned. He did however ask for more money- $9,000 for supplies. Even after sending that amount. Pace never showed.

The victim finally contacted state police to report Pace’s behavior.

The Knox County Prosecutor’s Office issued a felony arrest warrant and Tuesday morning ISP and Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Pace and took him to jail.

He has posted bond but is charged with theft – a level six felony.
