Driver Arrested for Allegedly Topping 100 MPH on the Lloyd

File

ISP says a trooper clocked the car at 107 mph

Police have arrested a man accused of driving more than 100 miles an hour on Evansville’s Lloyd Expressway. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Indiana State Police say a trooper was operating radar Tuesday night on the Lloyd near Wabash Avenue, where the speed limit is 40 miles an hour.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the ISP says the trooper clocked an eastbound car traveling at 107 miles an hour.

Police says the driver exited at Fulton Avenue and the trooper stopped the speeding car near Fulton and Second Street.

The officer arrested 35-year-old Wesley Hunt of Evansville.

The ISP says officers found about 66 grams of marijuana in Hunt’s vehicle.

He was taken to the Vanderburgh County jail where he later posted bond and was released.

Hunt is charged with Reckless Driving and Possession of Marijuana.
