The remains of a body found near the Newburgh riverfront have been identified as those of a Louisville man. WNIN’s Sarah Kuper spoke with the coroner and has more:
According to Warrick County Coroner Sarah Seaton, thirty-four year old Adam Thomas went missing in Louisville after he was seen jumping into the Ohio River to save a woman who had fallen into the water.
Both were presumed to have drowned on January 13th.
His body was found Saturday in Newburgh near the Old Lock and Dam in a wooded area.
Seaton says the woman Thomas jumped in to save has not been found and officials are still unsure of her identity.
