The co-creator of ¿Qué Pasa, Midwest? is among the honorees

The University of Southern Indiana Multicultural Center has announced its Phenomenal Women Class of 2022. WNIN’s Sarah Kuper has more on the honorees and the celebration event:

Phenomenal Women honors and celebrates women who have made contributions to diversity at USI and the community.

The March 29th ceremony at USI’s Carter Hall will recognize undergraduate and graduate student leaders, USI administrative and support staff, faculty and alumna. Former WNIN staff member and co-creator of the bilingual podcast “¿Qué Pasa, Midwest?” Paola Marizán is among three women recognized in the Community at Large category.

The evening’s keynote speaker is Melissa Morehead Moore – Bosse High School graduate and former member of the US Navy. Moore is a leader in several Evansville advocacy groups including the Legal Aid Society, Evansville Aids Resource Group and the EVSC Foundation.
