An Evansville man convicted of multiple child molestation charges has been sentenced to 60 years in prison. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office says 51-year-old Elmer Demoss Jr. received a sentence of 30 years in prison for each victim in the case, with the terms to be run consecutively.
Demoss was convicted of nine counts of Child Molesting.
Prosecutor Nick Hermann said it took an “immense amount of courage” for the victims to speak out about the abuse they endured.
Hermann praised Deputy Prosecutor Emily Hall and Jeremy Kemper for prosecuting the case.
