ISP: Shooting happened during an altercation

Police have arrested a Spencer County man accused of shooting his son. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

Indiana State Police said officers were dispatched to a home on County Road 750-West near Richland City Saturday night.

A woman told dispatchers that her son had been shot by her husband.

The ISP says officers found 40-year-old Justin Blair with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

He was transported by ambulance to an Evansville hospital.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that an altercation between Blair and his father, 70-year-old Michael Blair, led to the father shooting his son.

Officers arrested Michael Blair for Domestic Violence Causing Serious Bodily Injury. He was taken to the Spencer County Jail.
