A bill telling pregnant workers they can ask for workplace accommodations without retaliation is one step away from becoming law after it passed a final vote in the General Assembly.

A new report shows Indiana continues to lag other states in key economic areas including health care costs, new entrepreneurs, and high electricity rates. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Snapshot is a part of a long-term plan that shows where improvements can be made to make the state more competitive.

Indiana businesses are concerned the escalated trade war between the United States and China will hurt their financial future.

Former EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt didn’t convince the Indiana Chamber of Commerce to change its mind about an energy moratorium in Indiana. The coal lobbyist had hoped to revive legislation that would have placed a temporary hold on large utility projects. 

Jasper Wins "Best Community" Award

The city of Jasper has won a statewide award. 

In a news release, Jasper Mayor Terry Seitz thanked the chamber and called it an honor because it distinguishes an entire region.
