Children, older adults, and anyone with respiratory issues are urged to limit prolonged outdoor exertion from noon until 7 p.m.

Temperatures are expected to reach the low-to-mid 90’s as summer officially arrives at 4:43 Saturday afternoon.

Mar 22, 2016

A public hearing is set for Wednesday evening in Mt. Vernon to discuss a plan to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions.

The Sierra Club’s Wendy Bredhold rejects IDEM’s proposed emission limits.

She tells WNIN that IDEM’s plan ignores other sources of sulfur dioxide in the region.
