Mareea Thomas is a radio host at 88.3 WNIN FM and co-producer of WNIN’s bilingual podcast, ¿Qué Pasa, Midwest?. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and a Spanish Minor from the University of Evansville. Mareea first developed an interest in radio while DJing a variety of shows at the university’s radio station. She has been recognized by the Kentucky Associated Press for her work.

Bram Sable-Smith is a native Missourian and a reporter on the KBIA Health & Wealth Desk. He’s documented mbira musicians in Zimbabwe, mining protests in Chile, and a lobstering union in Maine. His reporting from Ferguson, Missouri won a regional Edward R. Murrow award for feature reporting. Bram cut his radio chops at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine.

Christopher Connelly is a KERA reporter based in Fort Worth. Christopher joined KERA after a year and a half covering the Maryland legislature for WYPR, the NPR member station in Baltimore. Before that, he was a Joan B. Kroc Fellow at NPR – one of three post-graduates who spend a year working as a reporter, show producer and digital producer at network HQ in Washington, D.C.

Deborah joined the news team at KMUW in September 2014 as a news reporter. She spent more than a dozen years working in news at both public and commercial radio and television stations in Ohio, West Virginia and Detroit, Michigan. Before relocating to Wichita in 2013, Deborah taught news and broadcasting classes at Tarrant County College in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.

Alex Smith began working in radio as an intern at the National Association of Farm Broadcasters. A few years and a couple of radio jobs later, he became the assistant producer of KCUR's magazine show, KC Currents. In January 2014 he became KCUR's health reporter.
