Weather May Get Rough Wednesday Night

File

Forecasters say severe storms are possible Wednesday evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has put the region in an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms.

The Weather Service says storms will move into the Tri-State late Wednesday afternoon and evening, ahead of a strong cold front.

Forecasters say conditions will be favorable for large hail, damaging winds, and even a few tornadoes.

They say heavy rain could cause isolated flooding -- apart from the ongoing river flooding.

The storms will usher in cooler weather, with temperatures expected to reach just the mid-50’s Thursday and Friday.
