Vanderburgh's COVID Death Toll Reaches 390; Infections, Positivity Rate Up

Another COVID-related death has been reported in Vanderburgh County along with a slight rise in infections and the positivity rate. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced Vanderburgh’s 390th death of the pandemic.

The agency also tallied 21 new infections in the county, while the seven-day positivity rate rose to four percent.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Warrick saw six new infections, Gibson added three, and Posey had no new infections.

The number of COVID patients in the hospital fell to 43 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana.

Statewide, ten new fatalities were added along with more than 750 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department announced 34 new cases but no new deaths.

Just four COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
