File

Vanderburgh County has reached a new milestone in the battle against COVID-19.

The Indiana Department of Health says the county has surpassed 90,000 fully vaccinated residents.

The agency reported a jump of 570 full vaccinations on the Monday dashboard.

The number of new infections rose by 72 in Vanderburgh County, 35 in Warrick County, 14 in Gibson County, and eleven in Posey County.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in southwest Indiana.

Monday reports tend to skew lower in fatalities and infections, and higher in vaccinations.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana continued to fall – down to 235, with about a quarter of intensive care beds available.

Across Indiana, the agency recorded three new deaths and more than 1,900 new infections.
