Nearly 250 more Vanderburgh County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Indiana Department of Health reported 246 more full vaccinations in the county on its Wednesday dashboard.

The increase pushed the slowly rising total to nearly 78,000.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Just nine new infections were recorded across the seven counties.

But the number of hospitalized COVID patients did rise to 30 in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana.

Across the state, a dozen new COVID-related deaths were added along with more than 200 new infections.

Nearly 13,000 more Hoosiers were listed as fully vaccinated, raising the statewide total above 2.7 million.

The Green River District Health Department added 31 new COVID infections but no new deaths in its seven-county region between June 11th and June 14th.
