Vanderburgh COVID Infections Up 81, No New Deaths

More than 80 new COVID-19 infections are reported in Vanderburgh County. 

The Indiana Department of Health tallied 81 new cases in Vanderburgh, 33 in Warrick, a dozen in Gibson, and nine in Posey County.

Seven-day positivity rates among individuals remained high, with Vanderburgh’s rate topping 26 percent on the Monday dashboard.

160 more local residents became fully vaccinated against the virus, pushing the county’s total to nearly 83,000.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana climbed to 211, with just over a third of intensive care beds available.

Across Indiana, no new fatalities were added but more than 1,900 new infections were counted.
