The Indiana State Department of Health said the county’s death toll rose to 28, while the toll in Warrick County climbed to 34.
44 new COVID infections were recorded in Vanderburgh County, pushing the total since mid-March above 3,200.
Warrick County saw a single-day spike of 50 new cases.
The state health department recorded 17 new fatalities across Indiana and nearly 1,500 new infections in its Friday report.
The Green River District Health Department recorded a jump of 62 new COVID cases in its seven-county region, with 24 in Daviess County, 18 in Union County, and ten in Henderson County.
Health officials urge everyone to comply with face-covering and social-distancing guidelines, avoid large gatherings, and frequently wash hands.
