Vanderburgh COVID Death Toll Up to 19

Another COVID-related death has been recorded in Vanderburgh County. 

The Indiana State Department of Health announced the county’s 19th coronavirus fatality in its Friday report.

The department also reported 44 new cases, pushing Vanderburgh’s total since mid-March to just short of 2,500.

No new deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, eleven COVID-related deaths were recorded along with more than 800 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department announced 36 new cases in its seven-county region, 16 of them in Daviess County.

The department said 18 infected people are currently hospitalized.

The district's death toll held at 27.
