Vanderburgh COVID Cases Reach 2,200

The overall number of COVID 19 infections in Vanderburgh County has reached 2,200. 

The Indiana State Department of Health posted 19 new infections in the county on its online dashboard Monday.

That’s down from 32 new cases reported on Sunday.

No new deaths were reported In Vanderburgh County and the seven-day positivity rate dropped to 9.3 percent.

No new fatalities were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, the agency recorded six new deaths, about 600 new infections, and a seven-day positivity rate of 8.1 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported 29 new confirmed cases in its seven-county region -- a dozen of them in Daviess County and eleven in Henderson County.

The department reported no new COVID-related deaths.
