The number of COVID cases in Vanderburgh County continues to climb.
The Indiana State Department of Health says the county saw 28 new infections, pushing the total since March to nearly 2,600.
In its Monday report, the agency added no new coronavirus deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Statewide, Indiana saw five new COVID fatalities and nearly 900 new cases.
The Green River District Health Department reported two new deaths in Daviess County over the weekend. That county’s death toll rose to 12.
In its Monday report, the department recorded 34 new infections and but no new fatalities in its seven-county region.
