United Steelworkers Agree To Contract With Alcoa

Members of the United Steelworkers union have ratified a new labor agreement with Alcoa.

On its website, Alcoa says the steelworkers union ratified the four-year contract on Thursday.

The new agreement includes union workers at Alcoa’s Warrick Operations.

Alcoa Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Leigh Ann Fisher says the company appreciates the contributions from union employees at all of the locations included in the new contract.

In addition to the Warrick Operations, workers also ratified the deal at Alcoa facilities in New York, Arkansas, Texas, and Washington State.

United Steelworkers International President Thomas Conway said on the union’s website that workers got a fair agreement, one that “makes sure they can continue to care for their families and also positions the company for future success.”
