UE to Conduct In-Person Classes

The University of Evansville says it plans to reopen the campus for in-person instruction no later than August 26th.

In a release, UE President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz said the university has been working for months on plans to reopen safely after classes were shifted online in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said UE plans to gradually reopen offices, labs, and other campus spaces.

Pietruszkiewicz said instruction in the fall will be designed for in-person experiences and will include some hybrid and online classes to maintain social distancing and public health protocols.

Those protocols include testing, masks, temperature checks, and other safety measures.

Pietruszkiewicz said UE will continue to monitor the health of its community and provide frequent updates.
