Slight Increases in local COVID Cases, Statewide Deaths

The latest numbers from the state of Indiana show slight increases in COVID-19 cases in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. 

The state’s health department reported two new confirmed cases in Vanderburgh, raising the county’s total to 87. The county’s death toll held at one.

In Warrick County, one new case was reported in Monday’s numbers. The county has seen four COVID-19 related deaths.

No new cases or deaths were reported in Posey or Gibson counties.

Statewide, Indiana’s death toll rose seven to 569.

More than 500 new cases were confirmed, taking the total to nearly 12,000.

The agency said almost 65,000 people have been tested in Indiana.

The department said nearly half of the state’s ICU beds are available, while more than three-quarters of the state’s ventilators are not being used.
