One New COVID Death in Vanderburgh; New Infections Falling

One new COVID 19-related death is reported in Vanderburgh County, while infections and hospitalizations continue to fall. 

The Indiana Department of Health raised Vanderburgh’s death toll by one to 357 on the Tuesday dashboard.

The agency also recorded 41 new infections in the county, with just single-digit increases in Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties.

No new COVID-related fatalities were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson.

The number of coronavirus patients in the hospital dropped by 29 to 108 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana, with nearly half of intensive care beds available.

Statewide, the agency announced 67 more COVID-related deaths with just over 1,200 new cases.

The Green River District Health Department recorded 129 new infections but no new deaths.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients dropped to 28 in that seven-county region.
