No New COVID Deaths in Vanderburgh County; 1 in Daviess County

For a second straight day, no new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health added 57 COVID infections in Vanderburgh County, avoiding another triple-digit increase.

The county’s pandemic death toll held at 261, with the seven-day positivity just below ten percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana rose a bit to 146, with just under 40 percent of intensive care beds available in the 12-county region.

Statewide, 16 new COVID-related deaths were added, along with more than 1,700 new infections on the Monday dashboard.

The Green River District Health Department announced one new fatality in Daviess County and 86 new infections.

The department reported 28 COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county region.
