No New COVID Deaths in Southwest Indiana, Western Kentucky

No new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. 

The Indiana Department of Health added no new fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties on the Thursday dashboard.

The number of new infections in Vanderburgh was down a bit to 25.

Surrounding counties logged single-digit increases.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate dropped to 3.1 percent.

Statewide, Indiana’s COVID death toll climbed by eight with less than 1,000 new infections.

The state’s positivity rate ticked up to 3.4 percent.

The Green River District Health Department reported no new COVID fatalities and 36 more infections.

Just four COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
