No New COVID Deaths in Evansville Area Again; Positivity Rate Up a Bit

The state of Indiana has recorded another day of no new COVID-19 related deaths in the Evansville area. 

The Indiana Department of Health logged no new COVID deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

New infections remained low on the Thursday dashboard, with 19 added in Vanderburgh County, and single digits in surrounding counties.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate did rise a bit, to 3.4 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana fell by two to 49.

Across Indiana, 13 COVID-related deaths were added along with fewer than 1,000 new infections.

The state’s seven-day positivity rate ticked-up to 3.2 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 30 more COVID infections but no new fatalities in the seven-county district.
