New COVID Deaths in Vanderburgh, Daviess; New Infections Low

New COVID 19-related deaths are reported in Vanderburgh and Daviess counties, but new infections remain relatively low. 

The Indiana Department of Health raised Vanderburgh County’s death toll by one to 362, but reported just 41 new infections in the county.

No new COVID-related fatalities were recorded in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties on the Thursday dashboard.

18 new infections were reported in Warrick County, with just single-digit increases in Posey and Gibson.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana fell by eight to 116, with nearly half of intensive care beds available.

Statewide, 26 COVID-related deaths were tallied with less than 1,800 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department announced one new COVID fatality in Daviess County, but just 64 new cases in the seven-county district.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients rose by three to 31.
