More COVID Deaths Reported in Tri-State; 52 New Cases in Vanderburgh

Dubois and Ohio counties are reporting more COVID-19 deaths. 

The Dubois County Health Department in Jasper announced one new fatality -- along with 28 new infections -- in its Friday report.

It was the fourth coronavirus-related death in three days in Dubois County. It raised the county’s COVID death toll to eleven.

Dubois County has now topped 500 confirmed cases since the pandemic began.

Meantime, the Green River District Health Department announced two more deaths in Ohio County, raising that county’s toll to 5.

The department also reported 20 new COVID-19 infections in its seven-county district.

Back in Indiana, the state’s health department reported 52 new cases in Vanderburgh County – but no new deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

The state reported more than 1,000 new cases and four new deaths statewide.
