Man Pulled from Ohio River Identified

File

A man has died after being pulled from the Ohio River.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office said 55-year-old Timothy Lee was found in the river near the Angel Mounds Boat Ramp on Saturday.

In a release, Coroner Steve Lockyear said Lee died Sunday morning at St. Vincent Hospital.

Lockyear said an autopsy indicated Lee died from drowning.

The coroner said final findings will be made after toxicology test results become available, which typically takes 3 weeks.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are investigating the incident.
