kydlgweb.ky.gov

Starting Thursday, local governments in Kentucky can apply for a share of $300 million in federal aid for expenses related to their coronavirus response.

City and county governments in Kentucky can file applications for their share of the funding starting Thursday morning, through an online application available at the state’s Department of Local Governmentwebsite.

According to a release from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, the funding will be split up according to population.

Guidelines for allowable expenses include unbudgeted expenses for things like personal protective equipment, expenses for communication and enforcement of public health orders related to the outbreak and some payroll expenses for public safety and health employees for duties substantially related to the outbreak.
