Lilly Contributes $5 million to UE

The University of Evansville has received a $5 million grant from the Lilly Endowment.

UE is one of 16 Indiana colleges and universities that will be supported in the final phase of Lilly’s Charting the Future initiative.

In a release, the university said it’s designed to help colleges assess and prioritize the most significant challenges and opportunities they face.

UE collaborated with three other institutions: Drake, Valparaiso, and  North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

UE says the four institutions will form an independent, non-profit organization called the College and University Sustainability Project (CUSP) to collaborate on providing efficient and effective non-academic services.

UE President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz thanked Lilly for the support.

He said the grant will “provide remarkable opportunities” and expand capabilities for modernization among “core information systems."
