HUD Money Headed to Region

HUD

More federal housing money is headed to Indiana.

In a release, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development says it’s sending $5.3 million to the Hoosier State as part of the CARES Act.

The money will go to housing agencies across Indiana.

The funding includes almost $285,000 for the Evansville Housing Authority.

Other authorities that will receive a slice of the pie include Mt. Vernon, Vincennes, and Cannelton.

HUD said the goal is to help families with Housing Choice vouchers and mainstream vouchers prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus.
