Frigid Weather for Halloween

File

Halloween is feeling more like Christmas in the Tri-state.

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Freeze Warning, in effect from 10:00 p.m. Thursday until 10:00 a.m.Friday.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid to upper 20’s.

Forecasters warn the temperatures will kill any unprotected vegetation, and will likely end the growing season.

Snow flurries were even reported in the area on Thursday.

It will be a cold evening for trick-or-treaters.

Parents are urged to make sure kids are bundled-up for the below-normal temperatures and wind chills.

The normal high for Halloween in Evansville is 64. The average low is 42.
