Friday Update from Reopen Evansville Task Force

Updates on various events and mental health highlight the task force meetings this week.

Cancellation of the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration on Evansville’s riverfront is probably the biggest announcement this week. 

Others include Mesker Zoo is tentatively reopening June 14, the Softball World Series is still scheduled in July at Deaconess Sports Park and other fields in the community. The NCAA DII Cross Country Regional and then National Championships are still on schedule for November of this year.

Summer events at the Ford Center are mostly rescheduled. The Victory Theater has moved most shows to at least September and The Old National Events Plaza is moving events to the fall as well.
