First Henderson County COVID Death Reported; IN Toll Tops 700

The first COVID-19 related death is recorded in Henderson County, Vanderburgh County has topped 100 confirmed cases, and the state of Indiana’s death toll has surpassed 700. 

The Green River District Health Department reported the first Henderson fatality Thursday.

The District reported 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases: ten in Daviess County, three in Henderson County, one in McLean County, and seven in Ohio County.

The total number of reported COVID-19 cases in the district rose to 262.

The Indiana State Department of Health reported 45 new deaths, raising the statewide total to 706.

The agency reported more than 600 new cases, raising the total beyond 13,000 out of more than 72,000 tested in Indiana.

Vanderburgh County’s total of confirmed cases rose to 104, Warrick County rose to 77, Gibson County increased by one to six confirmed cases, and Posey County held steady at eight cases.
