Extra Yard Waste Pickup Starts Soon in EVV

File

The City of Evansville will offer its Spring Yard Waste Service, starting next week.

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility says Republic Services will pick up unlimited bags or containers of yard waste on regular trash collection days from Monday, April 5th through April 30th.

In a release, the city says the service is designed to help residents dispose of extra yard waste generated in the spring.

Officials say grass clippings, hedge and tree trimmings, and garden plants and trimmings must be placed next to your City trash cart in plastic bags, tied in bundles, or loose in container.

The waste will be taken to the landfill.

The service is available to city residents who pay for trash service with their water and sewer bill.

Apartment complexes, mobile home communities, businesses, commercial customers and County residents are not eligible.
