EVV Leaders To Visit Omaha

What can Evansville learn from Omaha, Nebraska?

The Southwest Indiana Chamber says it’s sending a leadership delegation to Omaha next week for an Inter-City Leadership Visit.

In an email, the Chamber says President and CEO Tara Barney will lead a delegation of 26 to see, experience, and explore Omaha over two days.

Members of the delegation will include Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Christine Keck of CenterPoint Energy, Ron Romain of United Companies, USI President Ron Rochon, and Berry Golbal’s Curt Begle.

Top community leaders and members of the Greater Omaha Chamber will make a presentation to the Evansville delegation.

Why visit Omaha? The chamber says the Nebraska city ranked among the top 10 up-and-coming destinations in 2018 according to TripAdvisor.com.

It’s known as a mid-sized city with large-sized amenities and is home to five Fortune 500 companies.

Industry clusters include financial services, defense, transportation and distribution, manufacturing, and information technology.
