Evansville Man Accused of Driving Impaired with Kids

File

State Police have arrested an Evansville man accused of driving impaired with two kids in the car.

In a release, the ISP said a trooper stopped a speeding car on State Road 57 in Gibson County Thursday evening.

Police said 26-year-old Joshua Fellers was driving the car with two children, ages 2 and 6, in the back seat.

The ISP said Fellers displayed signs of impairment, failed field sobriety tests, was driving on a suspended license, and had an arrest warrant out of Warrick County for driving while suspended.

Police said further investigation revealed Fellers was under the influence of marijuana and an opioid.

Police took him to the Gibson County Jail and the two kids were released to the Indiana Department of Child Services.

Fellers faces preliminary charges of Driving While Intoxicated with Passengers less than 18 years of age, and Driving While Suspended.
