After a challenging year, the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is looking forward to performing in front of crowds at the Victory Theater.

The philharmonic’s Tim Zifer performed a trumpet fanfare to launch a news conference in front of the theater Thursday afternoon.

The Philharmonic’s conductor and music director Roger Kalia said the orchestra was able to perform for the community during the pandemic…

"We were able to perform virtually, we had concerts at the Victory, we recorded concerts. Our Peppermint Pops concert, for instance, was recorded and shared with the local hospitals."

But Kalia says he looks forward to conducting before full audiences at the Victory, starting in September…

"Next season is all about unity and celebration and being back together here in the Victory Theater."

The Philharmonic’s 2021-22 season will include its classic and pops concert series along with a new addition, a Bourbon Series.

The orchestra is contacting past season ticket holders for renewals. Season tickets will go on sale to the general public August 2nd.

Single performance tickets will be available the day after Labor Day, with Opening Night set for September 25th.
