Eight More COVID Deaths Tallied in Southwest Indiana

Eight more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced three new fatalities in Vanderburgh County, raising the county’s pandemic death toll rose to 433.

Three more deaths were recorded in Posey County, one in Warrick County, and one in Pike County.

The agency added 161 infections in Vanderburgh, along with more than 200 new full vaccinations.

The county’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals held at about 26 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county district of southwest Indiana held at 271, with about 28 percent of intensive care beds available.

Statewide, 91 new COVID-related deaths were added with more than 3,500 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.
