Dubois County has reported its 22nd COVID-related death.
In a release, the county’s health department director, Dr. Theodore Waflart, offered prayers and “heartfelt sympathies” to the family and friends of the victim.
Dubois County reported an unusually high number of new infections on Monday: 81.
Officials said there had been a delay in reporting COVID test results from October 1st and 2nd.
They said a state-hired courier misplaced a cooler containing the tests.
The Dubois County Health Department apologized for the snafu and said most test results are available in three-to-four business days.
