In early March, WNIN's Steve Burger caught up with a busy Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke during the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at the Ford Center in downtown Evansville.
For the Day Out, they discussed current progress in the downtown area and how it is all connected. They also talked about other projects in Evansville such as the new aquatic center in Garvin Park and the challenge of updating crumbling infrastructure.
What is driving much of the progress is the challenge of attracting new people and young adults to the community.
