Daviess County COVID Death Toll Up 2; Vanderburgh Up 1

Two more COVID-19 related deaths are reported in Daviess County, along with another in Vanderburgh County. 

The Green River District Health Department raised Daviess County’s death toll to 136.

Another fatality was recorded in Ohio County.

The agency tallied 221 new infections in the seven-county district, with a drop in hospitalized COVID patients -- down to 33.

The Indiana Department of Health raised Vanderburgh County’s death toll to 257 and added 110 new cases.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose by 25 to 167.

The percentage of available intensive care beds continued to improve, topping 44 percent in the 12-county region.

Statewide, Indiana recorded 34 new COVID-related deaths, topping 9,500 confirmed fatalities since March.

375 more are considered “probable” COVID deaths.

The state added more than 2,800 new infections on the Thursday dashboard.
