COVID Numbers Improve: No Deaths, Few Infections

As more Hoosiers get vaccinated, the state of Indiana reports more encouraging COVID-19 numbers. 

The Indiana Department of Health recorded no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties on the Monday dashboard.

Vanderburgh added just four new infections, along with four in Gibson, two in Warrick, and none in Posey County.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate held at 4.6 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana dropped by 9 to 46.

Statewide, just one new COVID-related death was added with more than 760 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 40 new infections but no new fatalities in the seven-county district.

The agency reported seven COVID patients in the hospital.
