COVID Death Toll Rises in Vanderburgh, Warrick; New Infections Still Low

Three new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in the Evansville area. 

The Indiana Department of Health added one new fatality in Vanderburgh County and two in Warrick County.

Vanderburgh’s pandemic death toll rose to 369, while Warrick’s climbed to 143.

New infections continued to trend lower with 29 in Vanderburgh and eleven in Warrick.

No new infections were added in Gibson County. Eight were recorded in Posey County.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana rose to 93.

Statewide, 29 new COVID-related deaths were announced with less than 800 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department reported no new COVID fatalities and just 37 new infections.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients dropped to 21 in the seven-county district of western Kentucky.
