COVID Death Toll Rises in Vanderburgh, Dubois, and Daviess Counties

The Indiana State Department of Health announced one new death in Vanderburgh, raising the county’s toll to 189.

The agency also tallied 161 new infections in the county.

Dubois County saw two new fatalities, raising its pandemic total to 45.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties on the Monday dashboard.

Across southern Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients was up seven to 244. The percentage of available intensive care beds in the 12-county region dropped below eleven percent.

Statewide, 43 new COVID-related deaths were announced, raising Indiana’s toll since March above 7,500. Nearly 2,500 new cases were added on Monday.

The Green River District Health Department reported two new fatalities in Daviess County, 265 new infections in the seven-county district, and 40 COVID patients in the hospital.
