COVID Death Added in Henderson; Vanderburgh Vaccinations Top 69,000

Another COVID 19-related death is reported in Henderson County. 

The Green River District Health Department recorded Henderson’s 78th fatality of the pandemic.

The agency also tallied 54 new COVID infections with seven patients hospitalized in the seven-county district.

Meantime, more than 69,000 people are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Vanderburgh County.

The Indiana Department of Health reported 479 new vaccinations in the county on the Tuesday dashboard.

The agency also tallied no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, or Spencer counties.

Seven new infections were added in Vanderburgh County, with lesser totals in surrounding counties.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals did rise to 8.2 percent.

Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients dropped by ten to 33 in the 12-county region.

Statewide, the agency recorded 15 new fatalities and nearly 700 new infections.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals stood at 13.4 percent.
