COVID Claims Lives in Vanderburgh, Henderson, and Webster Counties

COVID-19 has claimed three more lives in southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. 

The Indiana State Department of Health announced Vanderburgh County’s 46th fatality in its Wednesday report.

The agency also reported 67 new infections in Vanderburgh, 21 in Warrick, and 18 in Posey County.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in southwest Indiana rose to 177, with just over 20 percent of intensive care beds available.

Statewide, 14 new COVID deaths were reported, along with more than 1,100 more infections.

The Green River Health District recorded the 22nd COVID-related fatality in Henderson County and the fourth in Webster County.

35 coronavirus patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
