For a second day in a row, the state of Indiana has reported a double-digit increase in positive COVID-19 cases in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported ten new cases of the coronavirus in Vanderburgh County in its Thursday report.
On Wednesday, 12 new cases were recorded – the highest single-day jump in more than a month.
No new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Statewide, the number of coronavirus-related deaths rose nine to 2,394. Another 192 are considered “probable” deaths from the virus. The state reported more than 500 new cases.
The Green River District Health Department reported 14 new cases in its seven-county region.
Eleven of the cases were in Daviess (Davis) County.
