A boil water advisory has been issued for a portion of western Vanderburgh County.
The German Township Water District issued the advisory after a water main break near St. Wendel Road and Goebel Lane on Monday.
The advisory is for customers from the intersection of State Road 65 and St. Wendel Road, south to Plainview Drive, and north to Goebel Lane.
In an email, district officials say water pressure fell below mandated limits during the repair work.
Customers in the advisory area should boil tap water for at least five minutes before using it for cooking or drinking until the advisory is lifted.
