The Small College Basketball Hall of Fame will be launched this November with a banquet and a tournament at the Ford Center that will include a match-up between USI and Kentucky Wesleyan. The two rivals no longer play in the same conference.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke calls the Hall of Fame events a “perfect fit” for Evansville.

He says if the weather cooperates, the nearby convention hotel will open in time for the games November 18th and 19th.

EXTRA: The University of Evansville won five national championships in Division II, and the University of Southern Indiana won it all in 1995.
